 How can we improve on what has been started here?

 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

          Parents are the first and primary educators of the Faith to their children.

  • Our current program is focused on Family Faith Formation. Formation of the entire family.
  • Currently, classes will meet twice a month on a Wednesday evening..**See Bulletin.
  • Program always in need of teachers/volunteers...**Consider helping.
  • More implementation of ministry training for the youth, after the 2nd grade...** Faith growth-mission oriented, living the faith, prayers, devotions
  • Youth events should continue to be encouraged and supported ** Parish and Diocesen events-starting point.

 

MASS-As SUMMIT of our Worship and celebration of Church Sacrsments.

Sacred Music approved Catholic music is an important part of our Mass celebration

  • Embrace variety of Sacred approved Catholic music at our services.
  • Use of musical instruments be moderate, they should always be heard in the background as accompaniment Not for Performance-meant for solemn Sacred Worship.
  • Possible coordination of 3 parish choirs to work together when and where possible esply on Chrismas/Lent/Easter.
  • Utilize persons that have musical talents to offer and are willing to lead music at liturgy..**Guiding liturgical tools always available for choice music.

        **Still need more liturgical volunteers, musicians, altar servers, extra-ordinary ministers of Eucharist, Readers, ushers etc.

         **Continue to live stream daily and weekend masses.

MEN’S & WOMEN’S ORGANIZATION

  • Revamp Men’s & Women’s groups that are currently in place for all 3 parishes.
  • Work a model to see when and how these groups can collaborate as one parish group-names like “Saints & Angels Parish Mission" and work to fundraise for charity, pray and meet the spiritual and social needs of all 3 parishes and our Catholic and larger Community.
  • Have a Men’s Formation group consisting of men from all 3 parishes for faith sharing, socializing to know of each other, meet for devotionl prayer i.e That Man is You. -PX 90 as Women do with Bible studies, Rosary groups and other devotions

COMBINE LADIES OF 3 PARISHES

  • Come up a model to join the ladies groups from the 3 parishes that would be workable for all 3 groups.

Social Ministry to the needy as Community Outreach.

  • Strive to have more outreach to our communities.
  • Giving Tree
  • Tri Parish gatherings, meals, entertainment.
  • St. Vincent DePaul
  • Prison Volunteer Ministry

ACTION PLAN 

  • Re-introduce Pastoral/Parish/Council.
  • PPC not mandated by Church law but encouraged.
  • Finance Council mandated,
  • **All advisory/Collaborative in nature to the pastor for growth of the parish community.

E-MAIL ADDRESS – COMMUNICATION.

  • Collect as  many email addresses from all three parishes for those willing to share.
  • Meant for faster and frequent communication from parish mainly for specific parish intended message to parishoners.
  • Sheets at the entrances of the churches to write your email address down.. Please print eligiable. 
  • **Email will Not be shared to outsiders.

BULLETIN IDEAS AND DESIRES

  • People would like to see in the bulletin and hear at Mass announcements of; (**All subject to individual persons willingness to share)

          -Anniversaries

          -Deaths in parishes

          -Funeral dates, times & details

          -Youth events

          -Diocesan events

  • Currently we do share 1st names of daily masses intentions announced in the Prayers of the Faithful on weekend masses.

In Summary, we will need to trust in Fr. Francis’s leadership to enhance what is happening in the parishes. Focus would be on what has been done well, how that can be improved upon in a way that will hold us as a Catholic Community together united. What does the identity of our 3 parishes look like? Long term Church structural needs will be discussed, shared by Finance Council Committees of the 3 parishishes. For any clarification, please email or talk to Fr. Francis.
